In IMPs partscore hands become second-class citizens. You tend to run your eye down the "Results of Team Play" looking for those double-digit swings and miss some gems buried in the 1-6 IMP range. Here's a partscore hand played by mcdouble (Roger Mcnay) and estoltz (Eric Stoltz) of the Westwinds against jacks (Jack Spear) and sailor (Mike Grant) of Kansas City.
The opening lead was a small diamond. Mcdouble took the Ace and played the ace of spades catching the king from jacks. The next round of spades went 7-8-9- show out pitching an encouraging club.
