I've been asking the Riko captains for a defensive hand to use and haven't received any candidates yet. Well, I have one. This happened about a year ago in a Westwinds vrs Bud & Wiser match. I've been trying to forget it ever since and haven't been able to do so. The defenders for Bud & Wisers were JimP (Jim Phillips) and nellac (Craig Allen).
JimP led the spade 2. Hearts and clubs might need some guesswork, so I won the spade King and tried the Jack of diamonds. JimP contributed the 9, nellac won the King, and returned the club 3. That trick went King-Ace and a club came back to the 7-T-Q. I tried a second diamond to the Queen which held, JimP playing an ominous 2, and led a heart to the King which also held. Six tricks are in the bank, where do we find the seventh?
