This isn't an ordinary bridge column type of hand with one clearly correct answer to the given problem. In fact, I'm not even sure that the answer I'm eventually going to suggest is the right one, so if you have a strong need for completion you might consider giving this one a pass. But come to think of it, if you have a strong need for completion you'll probably have to read the whole thing now that you've started it so you're still stuck!
This is IMPs on OKbridge. My partner, Kate Blumenthal, made a nice 6
bid over my gambling 3NT opener. It's an obvious bid if you think of it, but not everyone would. I passed because I had good support!
The opening lead was the three of hearts to the Ace and a heart back. Kate played diamond to the Ace, spade to the Ace, the remaining heart pitching a spade from dummy, and ran the diamonds. That brought her down to the simplest possible bridge problem, a two card ending.
