This isn't a Riko hand. I found it in an old folder that was in was in a stack of old folders that probably dates back to years before Okbridge came into existence. But...a valuable topic like this needs to be preserved and the Riko hands are a good spot!
A couple, say Phil and Jill, often played a home bridge game against another couple. They always lined up with the husbands against the wives, a situation that produces a different set of amenities than are usually observed at the local duplicate. The way to collect the setting trick on defense, for instance, is to snap it down as loudly, tap it once or twice with your index finger, turn to declarer and say, "Down one, again!" A moment of hilarity at the expense of the unlucky or unskillful declarer then ensued followed by great relish in scoring up the result. Also, the snap was louder, the finger taps more pointed, and the abuse heaped on the declarer more prolonged if it was a wife who cashed the setting trick while her husband was declaring or a husband that had just sent his wife one in the glop.
